Weekly Wisdom #10: How journaling gave me unexpected clarity ✍️
I’m a few weeks into my new powerlifting prep, and it’s been a massive test of discipline. Attempting to drop a weight class while preserving maximum strength means every single detail has to be dialed in—my diet, sleep, recovery, and schedule.
When you force structure into one area of your life, it naturally spills over into others.
For me, that’s meant sharpening my Saturday morning routine. Lately, I’ve been sitting down with a hot cup of coffee and working through The Financial Mindset Fix. The book challenges you to examine your core relationship with money through targeted reflection prompts, and the clarity it’s given me has been incredible.
Journaling remains one of the single best habits I’ve ever picked up. I keep a few different notebooks—some dedicated to guided prompts and others simply as a daily brain-dump for raw thoughts and stress relief. Putting pen to paper clears the mental clutter, lowers my stress levels, and helps me look at life through a much clearer lens.

📚 Media Pick of the Week
My go-to show to unwind at night has been The Big Bang Theory. Easy to digest, lighthearted, and guaranteed to deliver a few good laughs before heading to bed.
✍️ Quote of the Week
From Meditations by Marcus Aurelius:
"You can lead an untroubled life provided you can grow, can think and act systematically. Two characteristics shared by gods and men (and every rational creature): i. Not to let others hold you back. To locate goodness in thinking and doing the right thing, and to limit your desires to that."
My Take: It takes genuine effort and intention to spot the good in everyday life. When you put in that mental work, you open yourself up to the beauty around you—even on the gloomiest days.
